# For Municipal and Public Agency Fleets

> Municipal vehicles are repaired to a service life target rather than a cosmetic one. Lighting and marking work is performed to department specification, corroded structure is cut and replaced rather than filled, and sequencing keeps the department operating.

## Repaired to service life, not to appearance

A public agency vehicle is expected to run for a defined term. That changes the repair standard: corroded structure gets cut and replaced rather than filled and painted over.

It is a more expensive decision on the day and a much cheaper one across the service life.

## Lighting and marking to specification

Emergency lighting installation runs $400 to $3,500 and reflective marking $250 to $1,200, both performed to whatever specification the department supplies.

The shop applies the specification. It does not certify against it, and it does not perform DOT inspection or certification.

## Sequencing for a department that cannot stop

Units cycle through rather than sitting together, and the cycle is agreed at intake so the department knows its availability across the program.

## Questions

### Can OCRV Center work under a public agency purchase order?

Bring the procurement requirements to intake and the service desk will work through them. Payment terms on the published rate card are the starting point rather than the final word on an agency engagement.

### Do you certify emergency lighting installations?

No. The shop installs to the specification the department supplies. Certification and inspection sit with the agency or with a certifying body, not with the repairer.

### Is corroded structure always replaced on a municipal unit?

On anything structural, yes. A filled and painted rocker meets a cosmetic standard and fails a service life standard, and public agency vehicles are bought against the second one.
