## Structure before finish, always

The one rule that governs sequencing is that structural and moisture work closes out before any finish goes back on.

It is the difference between a repair that lasts and a repair that looks finished. Flooring over a subfloor that was never verified dry is the single most common example of the failure, and it comes back within a season.

## Nothing is ordered before you authorize

Parts are not ordered on a verbal. Authorization is written, and special order parts carry a 100 percent non refundable deposit at the time of order because those parts are generally non returnable.

That protects both sides. It means the shop is never carrying inventory against a job that evaporated, and it means you are never billed for a part nobody asked for.

## Supplements happen as damage surfaces

On coach work, hidden damage is normal rather than exceptional. When it surfaces it gets photographed and measured at that moment and submitted as a supplement.

Batching discoveries to the end of a job is how disputes start. Documenting them as they appear is how they get approved.

## Step by step

Priced evaluation. Teardown at $210, RV systems at $150, or in depth diagnostic at $285. Credited against an authorized repair.

Written scope. Line items with rate card figures against them, so the total is checkable rather than asserted.

Authorization. 50 percent deposit over $2,000, a further 25 percent when parts land over $10,000. Nothing is ordered before this.

Structure and moisture. Frame, skin, core and water paths are closed out and verified before any finish work starts.

Finish and reassembly. Paint, liner, flooring and trim go back on over verified structure.

Pickup. Balance due at pickup. Cards over $1,000 carry a 3.5 percent surcharge. No vehicle leaves until it is paid in full.

### How long does a typical RV repair take at OCRV Center?

Parts availability drives the calendar more than labor does. A slide seal replacement is days, a cap replacement with a discontinued molding can be months waiting on fabrication. The scope states the labor hours and the parts lead time separately.

### Can I visit the shop while my coach is being worked on?

Call ahead. It is an active body shop with paint operations and moving equipment, so access to the work areas is arranged rather than open, but owners are welcome to see their vehicle.

### What happens if the scope changes mid job?

It gets documented and submitted as a supplement before the work is performed, not after. You approve the change the same way you approved the original scope.
