Carriers OCRV Center Bills Direct

Work is billed direct with every major carrier, so you are not fronting the repair and waiting on reimbursement. Direct repair relationships exist on select carriers. Insurance billed jobs may run at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from the posted retail rates.

What direct billing changes

The shop invoices the carrier rather than you. You are responsible for the deductible and for any line item the carrier declines and you elect to have done anyway.

It also means supplements go shop to carrier rather than through you, which is faster and removes a translation step on technical line items.

On labor rates

Posted retail rates are $210 for body and paint, $260 for mechanical and electrical, $285 for diagnostics and $95 for detail.

Carrier negotiated rates on insurance billed work can differ from those figures. That is normal across the industry and it does not change the scope of what gets done.

Common questions

What if my carrier is not on the list?

The list covers the carriers seen most often, not the only ones billed. Bring the claim in and the shop will bill whoever is writing it.

Does a direct repair relationship mean the carrier controls the repair?

No. It streamlines paperwork and approvals. Scope decisions are still made against what the vehicle actually needs, and you still choose the shop.

Who settles the deductible on a direct billed job?

You do, at pickup, along with any declined line items you chose to have repaired. The carrier pays the balance of the approved scope.

Scope boundary

What this shop does not take

No mobile service. Every job happens at the facility.

No roadside assistance and no on site evaluation.

No engine rebuild and no internal engine machining.

No transmission rebuild and no drivetrain overhaul.

No DOT inspection and no DOT certification.

No emission testing and no emission certification.

No telematics installation and no fleet software.

No fleet consulting and no driver training programs.

Everything above is work OCRV Center declines rather than work it performs poorly. The facility is a body, paint, structural and onboard systems shop, and it is an in shop operation.

Bring it in

Insurance walk ins are welcome. The teardown hour is priced at $210 and credited against an authorized repair, so the evaluation is not a cost you lose if the work proceeds.
