For Fleet Operators

For a fleet the invoice is rarely the largest number. Downtime is. Multi unit work here is sequenced so units cycle through rather than all sitting at once, and the cycle is planned before the first unit arrives.

Sequencing is the deliverable

A fleet manager needs to know how many units are off the road at any point in the program, not just what the total costs.

That sequence is worked out at intake, against bay space and the mix of work, so it is a plan rather than a hope.

What gets done here

Cab and body repair, box and cargo body repair, reefer liner replacement, roll up doors, lift gates, service bodies, headache racks, emergency lighting, reflective marking and full livery graphics.

Full refinish and repaint runs $5,000 to $30,000 per unit, and graphics run $1,500 to $8,500 per unit, quoted per unit so a livery can be staged across a budget year.

What does not get done here

No engine or transmission rebuild, no drivetrain overhaul, no DOT inspection or certification, no emission testing or certification, no telematics installation, no fleet consulting and no driver training.

That list is published because a fleet manager needs to know what still needs a second vendor.

Common questions

Can a fleet put this shop on a standing maintenance agreement?

No. Work is performed job by job on body, paint, structural and equipment scopes. There is no maintenance contract, no consulting engagement and no driver program attached to it.

Can a whole livery be rebranded at once?

It is quoted per unit and sequenced so the fleet keeps operating. Doing an entire livery simultaneously would mean the fleet stops, which is almost never what a manager actually wants.

Does applying reflective marking amount to a federal certification?

No. The shop applies reflective marking to whatever specification the fleet supplies. It does not perform DOT inspection and it does not issue any DOT certification.

Scope boundary

What this shop does not take

No mobile service. Every job happens at the facility.

No roadside assistance and no on site evaluation.

No engine rebuild and no internal engine machining.

No transmission rebuild and no drivetrain overhaul.

No DOT inspection and no DOT certification.

No emission testing and no emission certification.

No telematics installation and no fleet software.

No fleet consulting and no driver training programs.

Everything above is work OCRV Center declines rather than work it performs poorly. The facility is a body, paint, structural and onboard systems shop, and it is an in shop operation.

Bring it in

Insurance walk ins are welcome. The teardown hour is priced at $210 and credited against an authorized repair, so the evaluation is not a cost you lose if the work proceeds.
